Introduction

Beer is a globalized product with an incredibly long history containing thousands of different flavors and colors. It has remained remarkably similar since its inception, yet its varieties have never stopped expanding.

Beer is currently experiencing a heyday in many countries as craft beers and microbreweries increase in numbers.

In this online course, Sander Brevaart, Florence Scherer, and Nico van der Veen, students at Wageningen University in The Netherlands, take turns to offer up the research they've done on beer's past, present, and future.
