Introduction

Has anyone ever told you you're 'too much' or 'too intense?' Me too.

I was diagnosed with bipolar 1 in 2005 (after already racking up multiple other mental health diagnoses), but after years of trial and error, I discovered a series of tools that served as my own 'superhero training' to help me feel like my emotional sensitivity and intensity are my greatest gifts.

This book, and myself, do not take any stands for or against medications, and nothing in this book is medical advice. But if you're like I was when I was diagnosed, you might feel alone and helpless.

When I found that most professionals only gave me one piece of advice – to take meds – I knew there had to be more, and this short read is my discovery of the tools that worked for me to make my emotional intensity a superpower.
