Overview

Some say that what separates humans from other animals is our awareness of the inevitability of our own death. The finiteness of a human lifespan and the contemplation of a potential afterlife have shaped our religions and civilizations, giving our existences a sense of purpose.

Ervin László is a Hungarian scientific philosopher who began his career as a classical pianist but found a passion and career in philanthropy and spiritual enlightenment. Author of over 100 books, winner of the Goi Japan Peace Prize in 2001, and nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2004 and 2005, László is a globally recognized humanist and thought leader.

The Intelligence of the Cosmos calls for a change in human thinking — from materialism to unity and synergy with the natural world. László puts forth his theory of the eternal human soul and our role to play in this physical realm before we take the next step.
