Introduction
Introduction to Nursing has been developed as part of the PADILEIA project, which seeks to increase access to higher education for refugee and disadvantaged host communities in the Middle East and Northern Africa.
The course has been designed to support PADILEIA project beneficiaries who might want to study nursing. It would also be useful to anyone seeking to develop a deeper understanding of the profession.
Introduction to Nursing explains the principles of holistic care, as well as the unique contribution of nurses on a global scale.
The course demonstrates how the work of nurses not only impacts individuals, but whole communities.
The King's College London Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care developed the course, with support from the UK Aid SPHEIR program.
