Overview

Introduction to Nursing has been developed as part of the PADILEIA project; a program that seeks to increase access to higher education for refugee and disadvantaged host communities in the Middle East and Northern Africa. Although it has been designed to support project beneficiaries who might want to study nursing, it will also be of interest to anyone seeking to develop a deeper understanding of the profession.

Through this course, we will begin to understand the principles of holistic care as well as the unique contribution of nurses on a global scale. We will see how the work of nurses not only impacts individuals but whole communities.

The course has been developed by the King's College London Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care, with the support of the UK Aid SPHEIR program.
