Overview
When celebrity chef, author, and travel documentarian Anthony Bourdain died in 2018, few people knew that one of the many things he'd left behind was a travel guidebook in its embryonic stage.
The collection of impressions and essays was to be co-authored by his longtime collaborator Laurie Woolever, who co-wrote his cookbooks. Woolever chose to complete what she and Bourdain had begun.
World Travel isn't a typical how-to guide. While it does contain practical tips, it's short on the where-to-stay but long on the why-you-should-go, and irreverent – in pure Anthony Bourdain style.
Favorite quote

It was never my intention to be a reporter, a critic, an advocate. It was also never my intention to provide audiences with 'everything' they needed to know about a place ... I am a storyteller. I go places, I come back. I tell you how the places made me feel.
