Overview

Many of us use a computer on a daily basis, yet the machines' inner workings remain mysterious. Computers have become indispensable to many aspects of modern life, but many of us have no idea how the things on our screens get there, nor how computers perform tasks for us.

Mac Bowley is a blogger, YouTuber, and Learning Manager at the Raspberry Pi Foundation. In this FutureLearn course offered by the Raspberry Pi Foundation, Bowley explains the functioning of different computer components, and how they all work together.

The course uncovers technology such as CPUs, GPUs, memory, and operating systems, as well as the history of how some components evolved.
