There's a very strong dichotomy between the messages you get from society and what you feel.

Introduction
Women all over the globe get pregnant, give birth, and raise children, and yet, one aspect of the experience is almost entirely concealed — the resulting regret some feel.
Orna Donath is an Israeli sociologist known for her work on parenting and motherhood, shedding light on taboos surrounding the potential pitfalls of parent-child relationships.
For this qualitative study, Donath spoke to 23 women who had answered her word-of-mouth request for in-depth interviews.
The method allowed Donath to widen her current understanding of regret, by diving into the personal stories of her subjects to extract data.
The result is a fascinating account of the points of view of women whose voices are often silenced — and an investigation into the social constructs that discourage them from speaking up.
