Overview
Investigative journalist Bob Woodward has been covering United States presidencies for nearly 50 years. Woodward was at the center of many landmark reports beginning with the Watergate scandal in 1972, which led to several high profile government investigations and the resignation of President Richard Nixon.
Rage is the sequel to Woodward's bestselling book Fear: Trump in the White House, which characterized Donald Trump's first years of the presidency as a blundering comedy of errors. In this second installation, Woodward shows how Trump's often misguided nonchalant governance style nearly ran the U.S. into the ground.
Rage was published in 2020, just before Americans had to decide whether they were going to re-elect Trump for a second term or not. In many ways, this book is Woodward's elaborate declaration of a vote of no confidence.
