Introduction
Have you ever tried pyrography? Pyrography is the art of burning decoration usually onto wood. It is done free-hand often using a metal pen, rod, or wire tip.
But would you know which wood to choose, or what thickness? What tools to use? Solid tip or wire tip? Why? How can you finish and protect your projects?
In this Hack, I try to cover everything you need to know, from start to finish. From your very first project, I will share tips that ensure you have a great outcome and skip a lot of common mistakes!
Just be warned — it is essential to take safety precautions when doing pyrography as you are working closely with hot objects, so ensure that the area around you is clear, that you take sufficient measures, and that you pay close attention to the heat source while you're using it.
