Up Hack
Mentoring is a Force MultiplierBy Bryan Stewart

In a Nutshell

Mentoring is a powerful tool to help individuals, teams, and organizations evolve and grow. Seek and build relationships with people whose character, values, and perspectives you trust and respect to get advice, counsel, and wisdom to help you achieve your goals and dreams.

When we help ourselves, we find moments of happiness. When we help others, we find lasting fulfillment.

Introduction

Mentoring is a force multiplier – both for the mentors and the mentees. Great mentors love learning and paying it forward to share time learning rather than just hearing themselves talk or boast about their background or accomplishments.

Mentors seek to transfer the value of decades of work, networking, successes, mistakes, and lessons learned to others.

I have learned so much in both roles over my life and career, and I want to share a few lessons learned and suggestions to help others on this journey.

I'm Bryan Stewart, and my perspective and opinions are formed from my time as a USMC infantry officer for nearly seven years and 20+ years as an executive, entrepreneur, and board member in a variety of companies and settings.

I am passionate about mentoring and serving others. I hope this Hack is helpful to you.
