Introduction
UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) predicted that in the year 2025, the Igbo language would vanish!
As the child of Igbo immigrants in the United States, this bleak prediction was substantiated by the fact that I and my four siblings, and many other people we know, could not speak the Igbo language.
With the learner perspective in mind, I have sought to fight back against this prediction via an Igbo language learning podcast, app, and other technological endeavors that focus on actually learning to converse in the Igbo language.
