Introduction
Most of us spend our entire childhood and adolescence studying.
But while we're taught many different subjects at school, there is little instruction on the skill of studying itself.
Anne-Miek Hermsen and Maple Hupkens are trainers at the University of Groningen's Student Service Center in the Netherlands.
In this course, the instructors share their detailed approach to effective studying, as well as specific tips on how to maintain motivation and deal with stress and procrastination.
Through the 'preview, study, revise,' strategy we'll learn how to skim-read entire texts before studying, make effective summaries, and schedule time to revise.
When applied together, the techniques here will help us to make better use of our time, learn more, and even increase our enjoyment when studying.
