The Daily Stoic

Overview

The philosophy of Stoicism has its roots in Ancient Greece and is based upon the teachings of thinkers such as Marcus Aurelius and Epictetus. Inspired by the wisdom of the ancient Stoics, author Ryan Holiday established The Daily Stoic, through which he provides regular, accessible teachings every weekday.

Through his book, podcast, newsletter, Instagram, and YouTube channel, Holiday advocates a range of beliefs aimed at leading the most virtuous life possible, through values such as temperance, resilience, and courage.

This episode of the Daily Stoic podcast features entrepreneur, author, and media personality Gary Vaynerchuk, a personal friend of Holiday's. Vaynerchuck is widely recognized for his work in digital marketing and social media, but also for his varied entrepreneurial ventures. Despite the fact that Vaynerchuk does not identify as a Stoic, the pair delve into everything from Stoicism and Marcus Aurelius to their own personal relationship.
