Introduction

Blue Bottle Coffee has been providing its patrons famously fresh coffee for more than fifteen years.

The LA-based coffee roaster specializes in single-origin beans and works with farmers around the world to source the most sustainable coffee possible.

Before becoming Blue Bottle Coffee's Director of Coffee Culture, Michael Philips served as the roaster's Director of Training, where he trained all newbie baristas.

Philips is a brilliant barista and winner of the 2010 World Barista Championship.

In this course, Philips takes a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on from sourcing to brewing the perfect cup of coffee by hand.
