As we move into the third year of the coronavirus pandemic, the public’s love of learning, rekindled by lockdowns, is still going strong. One of the ways people are looking to maximize their time and break the insidious cycle of doom-scrolling is by ‘knowledge hacking’, and our data has revealed the most popular subjects of 2022 for lifelong learners.
Here are the top 10 subjects that people are looking to learn more about this year (based on internal data and searches):

Searches for Knowledge Hacks about ‘better sex’ and ‘pleasure’ increased a whopping 1,000% in just one month. When looking for new learning resources, users were found to be curious about both how to improve their skills and why sex is pleasurable, with ‘how to fix your sex life’ and ‘why is sex fun?’ ranking top in related searches. The science of sex and sex-adjacent documentary hacks were among the most highly-searched for, and featured titles such as ‘OnlyFans: Selling Sexy’, ‘Sex Explained’, and ‘The Female Orgasm, Explained’.
Other searched-for and viewed Knowledge Hacks point to the public getting ready for the new year by focusing on better habits, with habit-stacking, personal finance and intuitive eating among the most popular self-improvement topics.
Searches for James Clear’s #1 New York Times bestseller, ‘Atomic Habits’, increased almost four-fold (296.55%) and with book Knowledge Hacks for ‘The High 5 Habit’ and ‘The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People’ also featuring in not only the top Hacks for December, but also holding onto their reign as we journey into 2022 and focus shifts towards New Year's resolutions, goals and intentions.
ADHD, ‘Adult’ ADHD and other neuro-divergences have almost tripled in popularity, with a 261.11% increase in interest. This could be linked to a quick and sudden opportunity for more self-reflection as the pandemic took over and changed the habits for many all around the world, as well as a boom in ‘ADHDTok’ on popular video sharing platform TikTok.
Something most of the human race has in common, undoubtedly exacerbated by the always-on nature of home working and homeschooling during the pandemic, is a desire for better rest, and searches for sleep-related Knowledge Hacks more than tripled. with an increase of 206.76%.
