Overview
When Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook COO, and mother of two, was 45 years old, she found her husband lying on the floor in their home. He never woke again. Sheryl was devastated. She kept torturing herself with questions. Why was this happening to her? Why did her husband have to die so young?
Two weeks later, as she prepared for what would have been a father-child activity, she cried in front of a friend: 'I want Dave!' Her friend replied: 'I'm sorry Sheryl, but Option A is not available. But I promise you, I will help you make the most of Option B.'
Sooner or later, we all lose Option A in our lives. This book is about learning to find Option B when the first one fails. Co-authored by Sandberg and Wharton's top professor Adam Grant, this book allows us to deal with adversity in our own lives, and find happiness and peace after the traumatic events that we may encounter.
